After the huge rains in December our driveway started to have issues, BIG ISSUES!! Now we have our own little canyon. While the floods were going on one of the neighbors put a white bucket, dirt, wood, and a grassy mound in the first hole at the top, which is still there today, to divert the water from going under the driveway. This did work and probably saved the rest of the driveway. It was days later that the driveway started to cave in with people driving over the top of it. Our other neighbor put rocks in the canyon to make it a little safer to drive down, which has made a difference since some of the holes are about 8-10 inches deep.
This is why you don't put your house on the side of a hill.
